PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As an Equipment Operator, you will operate specialized equipment and perform specific tasks relative to the maintenance of the golf course and club grounds.
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with daily golf course set-up.
- Mow fairways, approaches, collars, rough, and other club grounds.
- Walk-mow greens and tees.
- Hand-rake bunkers.
- Line trim or edge.
- Lay sod, top-dress, and aerify, as necessary.
- Assist with other golf course or club grounds projects, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous golf course maintenance or landscaping experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to operate golf course equipment.
- Capacity to be on your feet for long hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, rotate, climb, stand, push, lift, grasp, and reach for up to five hours without sitting.
- Ability to perform heavy physical work, which may require exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
- Ability to work in various extreme weather conditions.
- Willingness to work with or around heavy equipment, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or flying golf balls.
- Ability to work every other Saturday and Sunday for 4 hours each morning.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Full-Time Position
Compensation: $14-$16.50 per hour based on experience
