PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As Outside Services Staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day outside golf operations.
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the Club’s fleet of Club Car vehicles including detailing the carts, filling batteries, checking tire pressure, proper cart rotation/amp hours and coordinating the repair of broken-down vehicles.
- Stages the fleet and ensures the carts are properly stocked for the day.
- Sets up members’ bags and any other special touches required prior to members arriving.
- Cleans clubs for the members and their guests after the round and/or practice session.
- Performs outside operations opening and closing procedures.
- Performs driving range duties including proper setup and breakdown, restacking pyramids, sweeping the short game area, picking the range and ensure the driving range is clean.
- Assists with managing pace of play.
- Assists the Head Golf Professional with club repair services.
- Plays golf with Club members and their guests to generate enthusiasm.
- Attends department staff meetings, as appropriate.
- Interprets and enforces golf rules and regulations.
- Represents themselves to the membership and within the community in a professional manner consistent with the brand that Wachesaw represents.
- Consistently complies with the rules and regulations stated in the Club’s Employee Handbook.
- Completes other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Outside Services Supervisor, Head Golf Professional, or General Manager.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service experience.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market.
- Always maintains a neat and organized workspace.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to providing positive and professional customer service with a focus on the total satisfaction of all members and guests.
- Capacity to be on your feet for long hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, rotate, climb, stand, push, lift, grasp, and reach.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate environmental factors, such as humidity, heat, cold, dust and noise.
- Willingness to work with or around sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or flying golf balls.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Status: Full or Part Time, 20-40 hours per week target
Compensation: Minimum wage plus $12-$15 gratuity per hour
