Wachter is accepting applications for a Physical Security / Alarm / Structured Cabling Estimator III. The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Security / Alarm / Structured Cabling technician and Estimating experience with an interest to become the next member of our growing team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to function effectively as a member of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail required
• Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs
• Excel Skills are a plus
• 8 years' experience required installing structured cabling for data, physical security, Alarm, Data Center, DAS, OSP field installation environments
• 3 Years estimating experience
• NICET II or higher is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and RFP's
• OCIP/CCIP knowledge
• Troubleshooting of PhySec/Alarm cabling and systems
• Ability to help engineers create the solution that the customer needs
• Knowledge and application of BICSI standards
• Experience with the application of NEC/OSHA codes
• Familiarity of relevant industry standards and best practices including BICSI, IEEE and TIA/EIA
• Experience with Verkada Physical Security solutions is a plus
• Collaborator, meticulous, and self-motivated
• A keen sense of commitment and a desire to work in a deadline-driven environment
• An eye for detail and strong commitment to quality

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm structured cabling projects
• Evaluation of bid documents
• Perform accurate takeoffs
• Prepare Bid Sheets and questions
• Write professional proposals
• Interact with project managers to gather relevant information in order to provide firm bids for prospective jobs
• Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc
• Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign
