Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our site in Calvert City, KY. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the effective execution of all electrical and instrumentation work activities. This includes supervising the electrical/instrument workforce, administrative/personnel functions, making tactical decisions to stay on schedule, participating in Wacker safety programs, and implementing best practices to reduce maintenance spending and increase maintenance efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the electrical/instrument workforce to meet maintenance work schedules, minimize time lost between jobs, and ensure accurate distribution of time and materials to specific jobs.
- Administrative/personnel functions include assigning personnel to specific jobs, providing cross-training, and handling grievances fairly and promptly.
- Make tactical decisions to stay on schedule, refine labor, parts, priorities, and methods, communicate with planners/schedulers, operations, and engineering on delays or issues.
- Participate in Wacker safety programs, enforce plant safety rules, and implement good housekeeping measures.
- Schedule overtime to complete jobs on schedule while maintaining the overtime target for the department.
- Interface with operations personnel to resolve daily production issues caused by E/I equipment and system failures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma required; Vocational/Technical training degree preferred.
- 3-5 years maintenance supervisory experience in a chemical plant is preferred.
- Experience working with or within Union labor force preferred.
- Must have Industrial Maintenance experience, Electrical.
- Must have solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
