What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation?
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal functioning of facilities and machinery within the organization. Your responsibilities will include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, equipment, and machinery to support the smooth operations of the facility.
What you will do:
1. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
4. Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues with building systems and machinery.
5. Identify and implement corrective measures to address malfunctions.
6. Repair or replace defective parts in building systems and machinery.
7. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and procure necessary parts.
8. Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines. Participate in safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment manuals.
10. Collaborate with other teams during emergencies to minimize disruption to operations.
11. Communicate effectively with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
12. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
13. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trade school training in maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Good attention to detail required.
- Knowledge of building systems, machinery, and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
