Waco Healthcare, a nursing home in Waco, Texas is seeking an Admissions Director to join our team. We are dedicated to the top-quality care of our patients and commitment to our staff.
Candidate must have 2 years of experience in admissions in a long term care / sub-acute setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Develop great relationships with all departments.
- Manage and coordinate the inquiry, referral, and admission process
- Keep a current record of available beds
- Prepare resident for the admission process and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure that all established policies are followed throughout the admission process.
- Completing necessary paperwork related to each process.
- Give proper notice to the appropriate unit with all needed information.
- Explain the admission agreement to the patient in a way that they fully understand.
- Check on the financial status of the admission
- Ability to offer virtual tours to help covert referrals and admissions
- Assist in orienting the resident about the facility policies.
- Acts as liaison between nursing home and outside community agencies to generate leads and referrals.
- Stays informed of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance guidelines as pertains to position.
- Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as requested by clinical leadership
