Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and mechanical systems in an industrial setting. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure the continued operation of equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, and production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, identifying root causes of issues and providing timely repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair machinery.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure the accurate alignment of machines and parts.
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
- Work with other team members and departments to ensure minimal downtime during maintenance or repairs.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and make repairs to restore equipment quickly.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Millwright or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of welding, rigging, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical certification or apprenticeship (preferred).
