Job Description
Name of Position: Sport Coordinator
Job Location: Travel to sporting facilities throughout the Waco area
Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Type: Contract, Part Time, hourly
Regular Work Hours: Typically Evenings, 3-12 hours per week
Compensation: starting $12 Hourly, more if experienced refereeing
Supports the Mission of WSSC by: Welcoming all participants and ensuring a fun and safe environment for Wacoans to meet others and enjoy playing adult athletics.

Position details:
A Sport coordinator will be responsible for all game day activities for the sport they are managing. They will arrive ahead of game times to ensure facilities are prepared and assist in preparations if needed. They will greet, check-in players and direct both players and referees as needed. They will direct games to start in accordance with the schedule, manage any issues that arise and report scores and other details to management. They not only help things run smoothly, but are the face of the WTSSC brand to our members and the public.
General Qualifications:
We are looking for self-motivated, energetic, engaging, and customer service-oriented team members to join us for this upcoming season. Previous involvement in sporting activities
(whether as a participant or coach) is required. Must be available on the evening of the league they are managing and have the physical capabilities to move equipment as needed. The main thing we are looking for is someone that loves sports and is excited to represent a fun-loving brand to the Waco community.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a safe, fun, and fair game experience by serving as point of contact for the league and WTSSC representative.
- Perform player check-in process at the beginning of each game.
- Report scores and any other relevant game information to Director of Operations.
- Complete incident reports as needed (injuries, facility damage, etc.)
- Pass on relevant league information, marketing materials, and other announcements to players.
Secondary Functions:
- Deliver insight and support for updates and improvements
- Communicate and foster relationships with relevant contacts at facilities
- Cordially represents the program to all who visit or inquire.
Characteristics:
- Gifted, energetic communicator that can develop relationships and "own the room"
- Evidence of successful decision-making in a fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work collaboratively or one-on-one with a wide variety of people.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Walking, standing, and running are required daily. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, swing or otherwise move objects. In addition, involves physical movement which includes sports and activities related to membership events and programs.
