Waconia Public Schools-ISD 110 is seeking candidates for an Assistant Principal position to begin July 1, 2025. We are seeking an exceptional leader, listener, and collaborator who will work closely with the Middle School Principal and Staff to establish and maintain a positive environment for achieving teaching and learning excellence.
Waconia Public School District is located approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis. The district serves approximately 4,000 students from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, New Germany, and Saint Bonifacius. District facilities include an educational services and early childhood enrichment center, an area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one senior high school (9-12).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The Assistant Principal will work with the Building Principal to direct student services related to student management, discipline, and academic achievement. Duties include supervision of students, implementation of student discipline, coordination of building activities including state testing, and participation and supervision of building events. The Assistant Principal provides supervision and evaluation of building faculty and staff and performs a variety of public relations functions.
Qualifications : K-12 Principal / Administrative Licensure, Middle School teaching and / or Middle School leadership experience, and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership or related field are required. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Compensation : Salary range from $111,629 to $124,337, plus a generous benefits package pursuant to the Waconia Principal Association's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
