What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Wade Hampton Veterinary Clinic?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet clients and assist them accordingly;
- Provide clients with necessary paperwork and information;
- Answer incoming telephone calls;
- Obtain client and pet information;
- Schedule appointments;
- Accept payments from clients (in person and over the phone);
- Maintain client files and records;
- Assist with inventory-related tasks (ordering and unpacking supplies, etc.); and
- Miscellaneous general office duties (filing, cash drawer count, email and fax, etc.)
As our receptionist, you will be the first person that our clients come into contact with. Due to the stressful nature of our business, it is important that you are able to assist clients in various emotional states while remaining calm and professional. It is also important that you are comfortable around cats, dogs, and other companion animals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
