What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pesticide Applicator position at Wade Landscaping?
We are looking for a highly motivated person for growing landscaping company for fertilization and pesticide department.
Scope of work includes:
- The applicators will be responsible for applying pesticides in various environments, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and minimal environmental impact.
Objectives:
- Effectively manage pest populations in designated areas.
- To ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide use
- To maintain the safety of personnel, clients, and the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides according to safety protocols and product instructions
- Utilize various application techniques (e.g., spraying, granulating) as appropriate for the specific pest control needs.
- Conduct regular inspections of treated areas to assess pest populations and the effectiveness of treatments.
- Monitor environmental conditions and adjust application methods as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications, including dates, locations, types of products used, and quantities.
- Document any incidents or unusual findings during inspections
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide application and safety
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training and continuing education as required
- Educate clients about pest management strategies and pesticide safety.
- Provide recommendations for preventive measures and follow-up treatments.
- Maintain and calibrate application equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize waste
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
