About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Resources Team at Wade Trim. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving infrastructure in our Taylor office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, a professional engineer license, and at least five years of related experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical planning, mechanical design, and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, reports, etc. Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards. Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals. Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks. Monitor task budget and progress. Document design changes and communications. Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed. Prepare project status and other reports. Assist in the preparation of proposals. Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Maintain excellent client relations. Maintain a safe working environment.
