Job Summary :

Take advantage of an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative, yet well-established EV OEM! The Waev Con-sumer Inside Sales Specialist supports the sales success of GEM to consumers who use GEM in their planned communities, suburban and urban neighborhoods, and vacation properties for local commutes or more leisurely trips.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Consumer Inside Sales Specialist will facilitate the development and management of all assigned consumers leads Waev generates on digital properties like GEMCAR.com. The end goal is to provide a premium concierge sales experience from the OEM, for consumers who are shopping for a premium low-speed vehicle for personal use to ultimately turn it into a sale for GEM and our dealer network.

The Specialist should be the expert on the value propositions of our GEM products and help guide potential customers into the right configuration for them. And the Specialist is tasked with following standard work that optimizes our close rates. Once a customer is ready to purchase, the Specialist will guide them to the right dealers, and ensure the dealer is prepared to continue the premium sales experience the potential customer deserves through delivery. And the Specialist will do all of this while bringing the energy of GEM to our dealers and customers every single day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage leads with structure and persistence in Waev's CRM (Salesforce) to ensure that every lead gets a premium concierge level of support from GEM to ensure we optimize our close rates by giving a modern and friendly experience
  • Bring energy and ideas to potential customers by getting them excited about how they can use GEM in their lives after listening, developing a clear understanding of their personal situation and desires
  • Guide potential customers into the right GEM configuration based on their climate, passenger needs, charging set up, personal taste, and delivery timing needs
  • Gather potential customer needs to pass along to the dealer for a seamless experience; financing versus cash payment, desire to tag / title / register it with the state or not, desire to get local delivery or pick up, abil-ity to bring back the GEM for service needs or if mobile service is required
  • Provide initial pricing estimate to lead if interested
  • With the customer information, determine which dealer to route the lead to for a final quote based off ge-ography, dealer inventory, dealer consumer experience capability, and dealer local delivery capability
  • Drive the optimal experience end to end, ensuring that once we pass the consumers along to dealers at a dictated point in the sales process, dealers are following GEM standards in a timely and on-brand manner
  • Follow up with the end customer after the dealer is involved, to be an avenue for the potential customer if needed, and show GEM OEM level support through delivery by providing tools along the way
  • Train dealer representatives on the GEM consumer sales process
  • Work with regional sales managers to understand inventory levels at dealerships if leads need a quick turn vehicle, collaborate on lead routing decisions, and escalate issues
  • Be the voice of the customer internally to help us understand the end market and grow

Skills and Experiences

Required Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Business, Marketing, Management, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant sales experience with a background in business to consumer sales; proven track record preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar platforms to manage your business and document progress.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to balance customer relationships with business needs.
  • Well-developed communication skills - verbal (including phone), written (including email) and listening.
  • Must be able to work remotely without direct supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Exceptional time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Possess a demonstrated bias for action, especially in the face of uncertainty
  • Preferred Skills and Experiences

    Experience dealing with large multi-national customer purchasing processes.

    Demonstrated success of exceeding published sales goals on a consistent basis.

    Willingness to take on positions of increasing responsibility within the company.

    Work Environment :

    Remote / home office work environment.

    Dynamic business environment with opportunities for advancement.

    Some travel (~25%) to trade shows, demos, resellers, or end customer locations as well as corporate functions.
