Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will ensure that each dog receives the care and attention they deserve while their owners are away.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries.
- Perform routine cleaning of play areas, kennels, and equipment to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Administer basic care such as feeding, watering, and providing medication as needed.
- Assist in the grooming of dogs, including bathing and brushing when required.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, health status, and any incidents that occur during daycare hours.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred; familiarity with dog behavior is a plus.
- Skills in animal restraint and dog handling are essential for ensuring safety during interactions.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or in pet grooming is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when managing large breeds or moving equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with both dogs and their owners.
