Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and critical care practices, as well as hands-on experience in animal care. This role is essential in providing high-quality medical support to our patients and assisting veterinarians in delivering exceptional care.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia induction and monitoring.
- Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with staff and pet owners.
- Conduct X-Ray imaging and assist with dental procedures when necessary.
- Provide grooming services to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of animals.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated in the facility.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for both animals and staff, including kennel maintenance.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- A solid understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred.
- Proficiency in X-Ray techniques and dental terminology.
- Skills in animal catheterization, restraint, and general animal care practices.
- Previous experience in a kennel or similar animal care setting is advantageous.
- A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
