Job Description: Puppy Placement Specialist
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our puppies find loving and suitable homes while providing exceptional customer experience. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to customer interactions, cash handling, and maintaining a clean healthy environment for our puppies, customers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Puppy Placement:
- Match puppies with suitable and loving adoptive families.
- Facilitate the adoption process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Offer payment options to customers and process transactions promptly.
2. Animal Husbandry:
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of puppy kennels.
- Perform daily shift operations related to animal care and hygiene.
- Conduct mini grooming sessions and training sessions with the puppies.
- Upon specific training and approval, administer medication when necessary and follow isolation procedures as required.
3. Customer Experience:
- Create an unforgettable customer experience by providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance.
- Educate customers on various dog breeds, pet store facts, and responsible pet ownership.
4. Sales and Transactions:
- Handle cash transactions and use of a cash register with accuracy and efficiency
5. Inventory:
- Maintain an organized inventory of pet supplies and store-use items.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management.
6. Communication:
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests with efficiency.
Physical Demands:
To perform this job, employees may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Regular requirements include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing.
