Description

Waggoner Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Class 3/4 Operator to join our team in Shreveport, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our water treatment facilities to meet regulatory standards and provide clean and safe drinking water to the community.

Responsibilities

• 
  Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of water treatment facilities, including monitoring equipment performance, adjusting treatment processes, and ensuring optimal efficiency.


• 
  Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and water quality testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain the highest quality of drinking water.


• 
  Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment upgrades to ensure uninterrupted operation of water treatment systems.


• 
  Training and Supervision: Provide guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.


• 
  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance, and prepare reports for submission to regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications

• 
  Certification: Must possess a valid Water Treatment Class 3 or 4 Operator certification issued by the Louisiana Department of Health.


• 
  Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in water treatment operations, preferably in a supervisory capacity.


• 
  Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, and instrumentation.


• 
  Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.


• 
  Compliance: Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to water treatment operations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
