We are currently seeking a skilled Utilities Operations Lead to join our team in Meridian, MS. Responsibilities
- Plant Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimal efficiency.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor and adjust water treatment processes, including chemical dosing, filtration, and disinfection, to maintain water quality within specified parameters.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and instrumentation, to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including water quality data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
- Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as equipment failures or water quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
Qualifications
- License: Class 3 or 4 Water and Wastewater Operator licenses issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or training in water treatment is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a water/wastewater plant operator, as well as experience leading a team.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting water treatment plant equipment.
- Knowledge of water treatment principles, regulations, and standards.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, report on plant operations, and interact with regulatory agencies.
