What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Walker position at Waggs 2 Whiskers, LLC?
We are seeking candidates who LIVE in Shelby County, Kentucky. We are looking for an amazing human that can provide exceptional pet sitting and dog walking for our client’s pets when they cannot do it themselves. You should have experience working with animals and be knowledgeable about the general needs of dogs and cats. You should love the outdoors and enjoy playing with pets who are energetic.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean up after, exercise and provide care for cats and dogs. Includes dog walking services; litter box and cage/crate cleaning.
- Supervise at all times outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet.
- Feed and provide water per detailed instructions.
- Be respectful of client’s homes, privacy and individual property when on-site.
- Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail and/or packages, watering plants, turning on and off lights, and closing blinds or curtains.
- Follow schedule provided by the Waggs 2 Whiskers office and report conflicts and/or issues as soon as possible.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Five years of experience taking care of dogs and cats.
- Must be 21 years old
- Have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Have a smart phone to use pet sitting scheduler app for tracking visits.
- AVAILABLE to work daytime and/or evenings and weekends at client’s home. Sits are 6am-9am, 11am-2pm, 5pm-8pm. Dog walks are normally 11am-2pm

Pay: $17.40 - $19.20 per hour
