What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Wagman Construction, Inc.?
We are currently seeking a Superintendent to join our Wagman Construction, Inc. team. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities on a construction site. This includes ensuring the project progresses according to schedule and contract documents, by managing subcontractors, suppliers and WCI self-perform labor. Provide on-site direction to ensure quality, maintain safety standards and achieve project goals. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in the construction industry.

As a full-service general contractor, Wagman Construction facilitates growth and development in senior living, healthcare, higher education, urban, institutional, and industrial markets in central Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of building construction experience (non-residential) in project planning, scheduling, managing people and subcontractors.
- In-depth working knowledge of construction trades is required.
- Good communication, organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
- Experience with computer software systems such as Microsoft Office and Procore preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and meet deadlines in a team environment.
- OSHA-10/ MOSH certified.
Essential Functions:
- Overall planning, management, and execution of assigned projects.
- Perform each project successfully including project scheduling and controlling direct job material and labor expenses.
- Ensure that assigned projects are executed in accordance with the contract documents and the quality standards.
- Participate in constructability review meetings when requested by Preconstruction. Present comments and concerns related to site logistics, construction, material sections, and required details.
- Conduct formal pre-installation and coordination meetings to orient the subcontractors with their specific scopes of work.
- Develop, manage and update the three week look ahead schedule on a weekly basis. Collaborate with the Project Manager on the CPM schedule using Primavera P6 updated monthly.
- Participate in scheduling meetings as required with owner, architect, and subcontractors.
- Establish a strong working relationship with the project stake holders in accordance with the Wagman Core Values.
- Develop a project logistics plan in conjunction with the project schedule to execute the work effectively and efficiently.
- Develop a Project Site Specific Safety Plan & complete WCI’s task specific safety documents for each project.
- Utilize Procore to maintain project documentation as required.
- Assist in attending interviews or presentations for potential projects.
- Participate in the OAC meeting for the project.
- Conduct weekly Foreman’s and toolbox talk meetings.
- Submit weekly timesheets for WCI/temp labor.
- Verify any time and material tickets on a project.
- Provide timely communication with project team members.
- Attend training, company events, and functions.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level and 30 lbs. above shoulder level occasionally
- Able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, and climb (i.e., ladders, scaffolding, etc.) throughout the workday.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
- Ability to travel to project sites and work at heights above 6 feet as necessary.
- Must have acceptable corrected vision and hearing.
