What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Estimator position at Wagner Excavating Inc.?
Wagner Excavating Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned company started over 50 years ago in Sheboygan, WI. We work in the excavation, trucking, aggregate production, engineering and surveying fields. We are currently seeing a Project Estimator/Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in quantifying plans, understanding plan specifications, developing and maintaining project schedules, subcontractor qualification, contract implementation, generating and maintaining project documentation and working with staff inside and outside the company.
Responsibilities
- Procure necessary plans and specs for bidding
- Quantify take offs using available applications
- Create bid spreadsheets and necessary bid requirements
- Seek and qualify subcontractors and necessary specified materials
- Generate bid proposals
- Create schedules and monitor field work (both our and subcontractors)
- Develop and maintain project documentation
- Oversee planning, scheduling, budgets and execution of work
- Attention to detail and the ability to complete complex tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Experience in Construction estimating
- Bachelors Degree in CE or Construction Management- PREFERRED Not Required
- Knowledge of earthwork construction
- Willingness to learn
- Strong verbal, written and computer skills
Compensations
- Salary range $65,000.00-95,000.00 Based on Experience with yearly review
