- Loading and unloading freight efficiently, accurately, and in a safe manner
- Stacking products in proper storage areas using the required equipment
- Rotating products according to the customer’s requirements
- Ensuring the integrity of the inventory of customers and assisting/leading physical inventories
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, or repacking projects as needed
- Accurately pick and assemble orders for shipment
- Safely operate material handling equipment
- Identify damaged, lost, or missing products and notify warehouse leadership immediately
- Complete daily forklift inspections for all material handling equipment
- Responsible for placing unsafe or out-of-service material handling equipment in the proper location and notifying Warehouse Leadership to request necessary repairs immediately
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse by conducting daily operations with safe working practices in compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, and laws governing business operations
- Interact with warehouse management, warehouse personnel, customers, vendors, and other employees/guests in a professional manner
- Complete required records, reports, and daily paperwork
- Including other duties assigned
- Education - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Experience - minimum of 2 years of experience using powered industrial trucks or similar equipment
- Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Must be able to read, write, and understand basic English
- Basic math, counting, and computer abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrate initiative, self-starter, reliability, follow and teamwork skills
- Be able to use RF scan guns, tablets, and warehouse management system technology aptitude required. Experience with similar devices and processes preferred
- Certifications: Forklift Certification
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, and/or kneel for up to 8-hour periods and repetitively
- Capability to navigate through narrow, confined spaces
- Work near or on top of sloping, uneven, and/or slippery surfaces
- Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
- Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
- Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
