CAD Drafter

Wagner Tuning is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models of automotive components using CAD software. This role requires precision, creativity, and a passion for automotive design to support the development of high-performance products.

Aufgaben

• Develop accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models of automotive parts, including intercoolers, exhaust manifolds, and related components, using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Collaborate with engineers and product designers to translate concepts and specifications into detailed designs
• Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturing, and quality standards specific to automotive applications
• Prepare assembly drawings, exploded views, and bills of materials (BOM) for production teams
• Revise and update existing designs based on feedback, testing results, or customer requirements
• Assist in prototyping and testing phases by providing design documentation and support
• Maintain organized files and documentation for all CAD projects

Qualifikation

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2 years of experience as a CAD Drafter, preferably in the automotive or performance parts industry
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA; experience with 3D modeling is essential
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication) is a plus
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Passion for automotive performance and engineering is highly desirable
