The Rental Sales Manager is responsible for supporting Wagner Rents rental and small equipment sales opportunities in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” Responsibilities include sale coverage plans, sales targets, coaching, customer segmentation, account growth, and ensuring we are serving the complete rental needs of our customers.
Pay Rate: $102,800.21- $141,351.59 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:

- Develops, maintains and implements strategy for overall territory coverage using customer analysis, construction reports, CRM information, and customer growth.
- Sets and reviews annual CRM targets for rental sales team
- Completes annual assessments of rental representative competencies and makes action plans for improvement
- Assists with enterprise rental book and customer specific pricing
- Analyzes rental opportunities for new products
- Understands and utilizes profit and loss statements
- Assists credit manager with issues on aging accounting status of customers and helps with past due accounts
- Reviews monthly slow rent report and recommends action items
- Reviews monthly reports with General Manager
- Performs administrative duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Communicates with sales, marketing and other areas as needed
- Maintains an organized process for tracking and managing daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Communicates large project and customer opportunities and other relevant data
- Coaches salesmen on standards of performance in regard to territory coverage and planning, sales call expectations, equipment applications, and problem solving
- Coaches Branch Managers on territory management, working with customers, managing and coaching salesmen, and overcoming obstacles
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with both internal and external customers
- Actively shares relevant information to be more effective with our team and our customers
- Communicates in a fashion that fosters effective interaction with others
- Maintains proactive and creative posture to increase rental sales activity
- Fosters relationships with Allied vendors
- Develops and executes plans for achieving PRRO and customer growth targets
- Achieves annual rental and sales revenue targets
- Passes sales leads to the equipment sales department through Saleslink
- Works with Regional Sales Managers on rental pricing, problem solving and customer events
- Makes key customers visits to maintain relationships
- Completes ride-alongs with Rental Representatives on a frequent basis
- Possesses strong working knowledge of SalesLink, iRental, iRental Mobile, and DBS
- Maintains a technical knowledge and application of all rental products
- Working knowledge of Wagner Rents and Wagner Equipment rental processes
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct reports may include: Denver Area Rental & Key Account Representatives
- Reviews and provides input for annual performance evaluations for direct reports and branch Rental Representatives
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- College Degree Preferred
- Prior management experience in the rental equipment industry working with an outside sales force and branch personnel
- 5 years administrative/clerical experience
- 5 years customer service experience
- 5 years sales experience
- 5 years supervisory/management experience
- 3-5 years technical/mechanical experience
Physical Demands & Competencies:

- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
- Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more

- Advanced Sales Leadership Skills
- Advanced knowledge of rental market pricing
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
