WAGO Corporation is seeking a Zone Manager (ZM) to lead, develop, and provide strategic direction to the team of Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) to maximize sales opportunity outcomes and expand the influence of WAGO USA with customers, targeted markets, and applications in a geographic zone. The primary responsibilities of this individual are to develop, execute and manage the sales, market, and application strategies for WAGO products and solutions with the RSM’s in the zone.
The ZM is responsible for supporting the RSM’s in all aspects of business with both existing and prospect accounts for the purpose of establishing WAGO as the preferred vendor. This will involve assisting in the development and execution of the sales plans and overseeing the relationship between WAGO and its most important customers and channel partners. The ZM must demonstrate the ability to drive profitable growth for the business.
The ZM will engage in a variety of tasks including coaching, recruiting, project management, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, and innovative development of opportunities within the zone. The ZM will collaborate and co-operate with other zone managers and departments within WAGO USA and globally as needed to develop, implement, and execute the sales and growth strategies for driving overall WAGO sales growth and increased market share. The ZM is a key role in the WAGO sales leadership team.

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a technical discipline
- 10 years of proven success with industrial automation and/or electrical products sales
- 5 years successful sales leadership/management experience in industrial automation or related field with demonstrated success in achieving sales/growth objectives
- Possess the ability to independently recruit, train, and lead teams to achieve company goals
- Experienced and proven ability to define and solve sales and personnel challenges
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others in a high volume, fast-paced competitive environment
- Must demonstrate ability to manage varied tasks and possess excellent organizational, computer, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Provide strategic direction, guidance, training, and management to the regional sales team: To Achieve sales growth through professional and ethical representation of WAGO Corporation
- Directs, mentors, and grows a team of professional sales personnel to accomplish individual key performance metrics and support WAGO’s sales growth in the zone and regions
- Work with RSM’s to generate forecasts and develop/manage a creative sales plan for the regions and zones that enables accomplishment of individual budgets and supports the overall sales goals of the zone and WAGO USA
- Regularly review individual team members performance and progress against sales goals/strategic plans/KPI’s, to recognize and assess progress, as well as develop team members in deficient areas
- Consistent and regular visits/participation with regional sales personnel both in person and virtually to engage and help manage key clients, channel partners, and assist in identifying and closing new opportunities/new accounts
- Coach and assist sales personnel to target & penetrate accounts, applications, markets, and engage decision makers, while overcoming selling obstacles. Effectively analyze all special pricing requests received through sales team and channel
- Collaborate and co-operate with WAGO sales management team members and other resources such as: Channel partners, Strategic/Industry Sales, Product Management, Marketing, International colleagues, and fellow ZM’s to develop areas for opportunity and innovative sales approaches that grow sales and customer satisfaction; Implement global/national initiatives when required
- Implement and integrate global and national initiatives to maximize effectiveness for the zone and WAGO. Assist with co-ordination and and participation in conferences and trade shows within the zone when needed
- Conduct regular field and virtual visits with customers and distributors, focused on sales progress, ongoing training, field needs, and to help identify trends, market requirements, and competitive information
- Implement and maintain consistent process-driven, sales reporting communications, to provide valuable information to sales and management teams: Forecasting, Budgeting, Opportunities, Risks, Activities
- Utilize CRM and WAGO business information systems as reporting, tracking, and data measurement tools to enhance productivity and measure results
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge on WAGO products/solutions. Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of WAGO products, applications, and technology for the purpose of product sales and training
- Expected travel (domestic and international) 40-50%. Must be able to travel via airplane, travel in an automobile up to six hours, and have a valid driver's license.
