Reports To: Director of Warehouse Operations
Experience Required: Must have received high school diploma or equivalent and fully understand the entire warehouse process. General computer skills required.
Position Description: Directly oversee all inbound and outbound warehouse functions. Work and communicate with other departments as necessary. Complete on the job training with all new Warehouse Clerks and assist with overseeing Warehouse Personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Must be a certified forklift driver
• Must have the ability to work in all areas of the warehouse, including pack stations, manual pallet area, receiving, warehouse coordinator, sampling area and international shipping
• Oversee warehouse clerks to ensure job duties are being performed and completed in a timely manner
• Must have full knowledge of the Warehouse Quality Manual
• Work with and train new Warehouse Clerks and sign off on competencies in each area
• Investigate various day to day departmental problems including IWACS/SAP system issues, crane and conveyor issues and inbound/outbound issues
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Participate in cycle counting and year end physical inventory
• Responsible for rebooking all materials needed for outbound shipments
• Back up to Warehouse Supervisor and Director of Warehouse Operations
• Complete yearly refresher training with all warehouse clerks on the pack station process, manual pallet picking process and the receiving process
• Investigate shipping errors and respond back to Customer Service with findings
• Process problem shipments left on the shipping table (Fed-EX and UPS Shipments)
• Review green slip findings
• OSHA and company safety compliance on all procedures used in fulfilling warehouse functions
• Handle special requests from other departments
Normal hours: Eight hour day between 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. as per posted work schedule. 48 hour notice will be given for overtime. When applicable, additional weekend work is available to employees that volunteer. If no one volunteers, employees may be requested to work. Prior notice will be provided to employees by the Director of Warehouse Operations.
