Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort, located in Malvern, PA, is looking to expand its current dog training program and is seeking a high energy and highly motivated Puppy Pre-School Trainer to join its team! We are the Philadelphia area’s premier pet care facility and provide “A luxury retreat for the furry elite” through our high quality Pet Boarding, Dog Daycare, Pet Grooming, and Dog Training services.

Our Puppy Pre-School Trainer will lead our S.T.A.R. Puppy Class/Puppy Daycamp. They will oversee our puppies enrolled in this program who come in for a day of learning, exercise and fun specifically designed for the needs of a puppy and go home with positive, lifelong skills - and friends!

Position Summary:
Our Puppy Pre-School Trainer is responsible for:
- Providing all-around exceptional customer service & representation of our brand
- Promoting, instructing, and conducting all daily puppy training tasks, classes, and sessions
- Coming up with solid training schedules based on dogs enrolled, size, and temperament
- Training puppies on obedience skills; crate training, name recognition, basic cues, impulse control, and more!
- Completing socialization/exposure training, which properly introduces them to a wide variety of sights, sounds, and surfaces that they will encounter throughout their life.
- Communicating with clients by answering inquiries, coordinating classes, etc.
- Providing detailed client feedback on dogs’ training progress
- Regularly communicate with operations staff on progress of dogs
- Work with management team to identify dogs that could benefit from training
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Knowledge of canine behavior and body language with previous training experience preferred, but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
