Position Overview
The Strategic IT and Integrations Director will oversee the optimization and effective use of WagWay’s core enterprise technology stack, ensuring that IT systems support operational excellence, scalability, and customer engagement. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and strategic initiatives—managing system integrations, overseeing data architecture, and leading the development of a consumer-facing website optimized for SEO, lead generation, and customer experience. The role will not be responsible for day-to-day IT infrastructure (managed by an external IT MSP) but will define, optimize, and execute WagWay’s long-term IT roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Systems and IT Strategy
- Ensure the optimization and effective utilization of WagWay’s core enterprise systems:
- Gingr (pet services management system)
- NetSuite (ERP & financial management)
- UKG (HR & workforce management)
- HubSpot (CRM & marketing automation)
- Define and execute the long-term IT roadmap to support business growth, scalability, and efficiency appropriate for a business in early-stage development.
- Responsible for vendor selection and oversight of future technology investments.
M&A Integration & Technology Deployment
- Develop and maintain an IT integrations playbook to standardize the onboarding process for newly acquired locations.
- Ensure seamless system integration, data migration, and standardization across all acquisitions.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing, administration, and HR to support smooth post-acquisition transitions.
Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence
- Oversee the development and optimization of a data warehouse integrating data from:
- Gingr (operational & customer data)
- NetSuite (financials & P&L)
- UKG (workforce & labor cost analytics)
- HubSpot (marketing & customer engagement)
- Enable self-service reporting capabilities for corporate, regional, and store-level leaders.
- Manage third-party vendors and internal resources to ensure data accessibility and reliability.
- Basic super-user capabilities in data tools are a plus.
Business Process Optimization & Technical Requirements
- Work closely with operations to translate business processes that flow into technical requirements.
- Act as a bridge between functional teams and IT development resources to ensure system enhancements align with business needs.
- Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements across all locations.
Consumer-Facing Technology & Digital Strategy
- Oversee the development and ongoing optimization of WagWay’s consumer-facing website to drive:
- SEO optimization for local search dominance.
- Lead generation and online customer acquisition.
- Seamless booking and customer experience.
- Online booking is managed through Gingr, but this role will ensure seamless integration with other customer-facing tools.
- Work closely with marketing to align CRM strategy, lead capture, and digital experience optimization.
Reporting and Decision Support
- Ensure corporate, regional, and store-level teams have access to necessary data, dashboards, and reports.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing, and HR to ensure alignment of metrics and insights across departments.
- Support performance tracking and strategic decision-making through optimized reporting structures.
Conduct operational assessments and ensure seamless post-acquisition transitions for all add-on and tuck-in acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in IT strategy, enterprise systems optimization, or business systems integration.
- Proven expertise in multi-unit consumer services, retail, healthcare, or private equity-backed businesses.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise platforms including NetSuite, HubSpot, UKG, and Gingr.
- Experience in M&A integration including system standardization and post-acquisition transition.
- Familiarity with SEO, lead generation, and website optimization.
- Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work across finance, operations, and marketing teams.
