Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Wahiawa Pet Hospital. This role is essential in supporting our veterinary staff and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. Located in Wahiawa, HI, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pet care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Provide compassionate care to animals during their visit.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and treatment areas.
• Handle animals safely and effectively during examinations and procedures.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' health and care instructions.
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments and processing payments.

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of animal physiology and handling techniques.
• Ability to administer medications accurately under supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
