Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of NPD Mechanical Engineering Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Assist with designs or improve routine components and products with a solid understanding of design tools and methods. Optimize routine components and products with a solid understanding of analysis methods
- Support implementation from product concept to prototype to launch
- Assist in solving routine problems with a solid aptitude for problem solving skills
- Translate customer needs to product requirements.
- Analyze competitive products
- Test and analyze prototype products and review existing products and / or processes to promote productivity and make necessary recommendations
- Create reports and presentations for projects management supervisors and clients on a per need basis
