What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance and Safety Manager position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance and Safety Manager (CSM) will assist in the administration of the compliance program while supporting the Compliance Officer to establish and implement an effective compliance program. The CS will maintain a competent level of compliance literacy, researches laws and regulations and work within the priorities and strategies of the overall objectives of the WCCHC. This position will ensure WCCHC is up to date and in compliance with HIPAA, Disaster Preparedness and other industry compliance requirements (HRSA, OIG and OCR).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. An Associate’s Degree in the health care field required
2. Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in the health care field preferred
3. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office products required
4. Completed National Incident Management System (NIMS) training preferred; if not certified upon hire this will need to be obtained by the end of the first year of employment
5. Certification in Healthcare Compliance, HIPAA Privacy or Emergency Mgmt preferred; if not certified upon hire this will need to be obtained by the end of the first year of employment
6. A valid Driver’s License and daily access to an automobile required
