What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Grants Management position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of Chief Financial Officer, direct and monitor the health center’s grant development, management and compliance activities. The primary responsibilities include identify grant opportunities, work with appropriate personnel to develop and submit grant applications, provide grant management activities including grant reporting to funding agencies and department heads, ensure compliance with required grant reporting and administration by the federal, state, local and foundation entities.
The Director of Grants Management will work closely with Accounting, Administration, Budget & Finance department personnel and all grant managers to ensure that awards are properly reconciled to developed budgets, disbursement are in accordance with award stipulations, and reports are submitted timely to senior management officers for signoffs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevance discipline, CPA or MBA preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education
2. A minimum of eight years of professional accounting and management experience required including at least three years of progressive management experience in non-profit setting, and/or the administration of grants and contracts, preferably in a non-profit organization or public institution
3. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations
