What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Warehouse Operator position at Waibel Energy Systems?
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Logistics Warehouse Operator directly supports day-to-day business operations by receiving deliveries and delivering complete orders to their respective department(s) and/or customer. They provide the Procurement Team with accurate delivery updates on outstanding parts orders. They must be able to prioritize their assigned and recurring tasks to ensure effective and efficient operation of Waibel’s warehouse(s). They also ship parts back to vendors and verify tracking information is received and communicated with Procurement. They are accountable for any parts that Service Technicians take from the warehouse. This includes outstanding orders and additional items that Service Technicians need to complete their job. They will also be responsible for helping maintain the vehicles in Waibel’s fleet by driving fleet vehicles to Waibel’s vendors for detailing, repairs, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with HVAC construction industry and processes
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports and other documentation
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attends monthly department meetings
- Collaborates with the Procurement Team to ensure orders are received and delivered regularly
- Organizes and maintains warehouse(s) to allow for efficient order locating and processing
- Delivers parts to customers or jobsites in a timely manner
- Completes maintenance and service tasks relating to fleet vehicles (detailing, repairs, etc.)
- Manages parts that are in Will Call
OTHER DUTIES
- Participates in meetings and training as assigned for the purpose of obtaining information related to the company or to performing/improving job knowledge and performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department and/or company
SPECIAL JOB AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a background check
- Valid Driver’s License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI’s in the previous 5 years.
- Availability to work additional hours beyond normal business hours
- Regularly spend long hours sitting and using the telephone and computer
- Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
- Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Regularly understand the speech of another person
- Frequently bend to file and maintain files
- May be required to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds
- May require occasional travel to attend training, workshops, or conferences
