Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician.
Pay rate for this role is $19/hr, commensurate with experience
Schedule: full-time, Monday through Saturday 40 hours/week

Qualifications and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of pharmacy technician program or one year of work experience as a retail pharmacy technician preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy law and industry/technical terms and process preferred
- Knowledge of brand and generic drugs by name preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, community members, and staff
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work with multi-ethnic and multi-cultural staff and clients
General Duties include but are not limited to
- Assist in the processing, preparation and dispensing of prescriptions and medication orders.
- Assist in the inventory process of maintaining medications, supplies and retail merchandise at ideal levels.
- Perform sales transactions and provide patients with information related to their medications, drug insurance and other health care related services.
- Process third-party insurance claims and other pharmacy billing and cash management functions including resolving insurance issues.
- Perform other tasks and participate in special projects the pharmacy is involved in.
