Mid-size media company in Bergen County seeks full-time Accounting Clerk for position with growth potential. Company produces a broad range of high-quality media in print, online, and in person, and has a record of promoting from within.
Responsibilities:
- Enter accounts payable invoices in accounting system and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare weekly check run and mail checks.
- Post checks, wires and ACH receipts to accounts receivable system.
- Reconcile credit card and ACH receipts between receivable system and bank accounts.
- Email and phone customers regarding payment status.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Associate or higher college degree appreciated but not required.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Computer savvy, with Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Great team player with ability to work independently.
Starting Pay: $35,000 - $40,000 per year
