About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join the retinal photoscreening team, taking digital images of patients’ eyes as well as some administrative duties.
  • This is a mobile service travelling to a new area each day across the Waikato region, with occasional overnight stays required.

  • Take digital images of the eyes of people with diabetes
  • Process referrals
  • Process clinical data and results
  • About the Service

    Te Whatu Ora Waikato Regional Diabetes Service provides secondary level care to those within the Waikato Region, expanding as far as Coromandel, Taumarunui, Te Kauwhata, and the Raglan coast. We have a large multi-disciplinary team and promote a positive approach to teamwork, committed to supporting the learning and development of our staff to give the best possible care to our patients.

    About You

    Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role :

  • Office and administration skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly in healthcare settings.
