Job Description
This position will directly lead all aspects of Waite’s supply chain strategy development, implementation and execution, including:
- Supply chain strategy development and execution
- Supply chain organization and team development
- Contract manufacturing partner and supply partner sourcing
- Contract negotiation and documentation
- Supplier relationship management, including supplier quality engineering (SQE)
- Supply chain process development, documentation, implementation and execution
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process ownership and coordination
- Demand analysis and master planning
- Piece part, sub-assembly and component procurement
- Inventory management and control
- Planning systems and tools
- Base data management and maintenance
- ECO controls and coordination
- Participate as a key member of the Operations Senior Leadership Team
- Contribute as the owner of Waites’ central master production plan, with impacts across Operations, Sales and Order Fulfillment. Work cross-departmentally to understand and incorporate the needs of all functional departments in development of the master plan and ensure that each function understand the activities needed to deliver to ensure successful completion of the overall plan
- Ability to communicate forward looking S&OP plans to Waites executive leadership team - outlining tradeoffs available to optimize the realization of corporate objectives.
- Maintenance of NetSuite product attributes in support of demand planning and product availability.
- Manages team responsible for the proper coordination and execution of ECR’s and ECO’s to ensure product base data is always accurately maintained
- Work with product development team and NPI organizations to ensure new products are properly setup and defined within the company’s base data systems to support the successful launch of new products and product variants
- Work across functional groups to ensure on-time production and shipment of quality products to meet customer demand and corporate revenue goals
- Participate and lead the identification of continuous improvement activities associated with various corporate initiatives and supply chain operations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary groups of supply chain professionals
- 10 years of experience in demand analysis, master planning and scheduling
- 10 years of experience sourcing and managing external suppliers and contract manufacturing partners
- 5 years of experience operating at the Sales and Operations planning level overseeing the development and coordination of demand/supply planning, capacity planning and revenue forecasting
- Supply planning or supply chain certifications (CPIM, APICS, etc.) preferred, or a solid understanding of the master planning, planning and scheduling processes
- Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience and mastery in forecasting, material and resource planning
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and material planning functions
- Deep understanding of MRP runs and Bills of Material (BOM) setups
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications with exceptional Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a strong focus on delivering a “customer-delight experience” in every interaction
