Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweek
POSITION PURPOSE:
A visionary leader that will create, lead, and execute a plan to attract and recruit optimal staff for the district. Oversees the overall performance of the Recruitment team and ensures that goals and metrics are in place to track their work. Gathers and analyzes data to maintain and implement a system-wide recruitment and retention plan that aligns with the Wake County Public School System’s (WCPSS) strategic plan. Successfully manages multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;
- Strong attention to detail and a fundamental concern for the accuracy of information;
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
- Effective data tracking skill;
- Effective time management skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to make independent judgments and to implement creative solutions to problems with minimal supervisory oversight;
- Ability to build credibility, trust, and establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders;

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or related field from an accredited college or university; AND
- Five years of human resources management experience; OR
- Five years of administrative school-based experience in lieu of direct HR experience; AND
- Three years of experience with applicant tracking, information management, or similar systems for a large organization/corporation.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the State of North Carolina requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in public administration, business administration, HR, organizational development, education, or related field;
- Experience with Customer Resource Management (CRM) software;
- Human Resources Professional Certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff and staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment.
