WORK WEEK SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweek.
POSITION PURPOSE :
Leads, manages, and maintains enterprise-wide reporting solutions for Wake County Public School System (WCPSS). Focuses on strategic development and operations of Business Intelligence and Analytical practices, including staffing management, process optimization, and technology enhancement. Manages a high-availability reporting platform. Collaborates with business executives and stakeholders across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytic solutions that deliver essential information to meet their needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and data manipulation languages;
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modeling, data governance, analytics, and predictive modeling;
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the organization's goals and objectives;
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;
- Considerable knowledge of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures;
- In-depth knowledge of current data management trends;
- Knowledge in BI / data warehousing planning and development;
- Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed;
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service orientation;
- Ability to build and manage virtual teams;
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language;
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and community members.

An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully meet the essential duties may be considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, external agencies, vendors, and contractors. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work requires driving automotive equipment.
