How You’ll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Organizes the workflow of technicians within designated areas to ensure exceptional satisfaction of customer needs.
- Monitors the utilization, quantity, quality, and cost-effectiveness of resources and productivity within assigned responsibilities.
- Coordinates staffing initiatives and oversees technician teams in designated areas.
- Engages in process management activities.
- Contributes to team-based quality improvement efforts, aligning with the pharmacy department’s dedication to Total Quality philosophy and principles.
- Maintains, enhances, and documents personal and team competency by staying updated on knowledge and skills within healthcare.
- Contributes to planning processes by setting personal objectives that support quality improvement endeavors and departmental goals.
- Ensures provision of age-appropriate patient care in adherence to Age-Specific Care Guidelines relevant to served age groups.
- Represents the Department and Hospital effectively.
- Upholds hospital standards, fostering a collaborative work environment through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and team development.
What You Will Need
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
- North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Have (Not Required)
- Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
- One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
- Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
