JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily monitoring and general maintenance of all pools/aquatic areas of the Center, this includes cleaning of all areas. Provides supervision of all the members and guest in the aquatic areas. Monitors and upholds all safety rules and regulations of aquatics area are being followed by members and guest.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED General Studies Required

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

  • BCLS Required
  • Lifeguard and/ or Certified Pool Operator certification Preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for daily monitoring and general maintenance of all pools/aquatic areas of the Center, this includes cleaning of all areas.
  • Provides supervision of all the members and guest in the aquatic areas.
  • Monitors and upholds all safety rules and regulations of aquatics area are being followed by members and guest.
  • Displays a high level of customer relations as evidenced by no more than two (2) reported incidences per calendar year of negative interactions including telephone, personal, or written complaint. Reports customer complaints/ untoward events to Coordinator/Manager within one (1) day of complaint.
  • Effectively promotes a positive work environment while at work and outside the facility. Demonstrates a high level of teamwork, cooperation, and respect for co-workers.
  • Adheres to established department/hospital policies and procedures. Maintains competencies in all related areas. Participates in all emergency drills/reviews and stays current in CPR and other relative certifications.
  • Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules. Practices teamwork and adheres to Standards of Behavior.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, members and guest
  • Muse be able to effectively manage a high stress environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Will be exposed to the sun and pool chemicals
