The Department of Pediatrics and the Center for Remote Health Monitoring at Wake Forest University Health Sciences are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic research fellow to join our multidisciplinary team led by Dr. François Modave.
Our mission is to empower patients with digital health technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation, implementation, and assessment of effective digital health strategies for helping patients develop and sustain healthy behaviors. The ideal candidate will also contribute to projects across the research enterprise leveraging digital health technologies and have access to funds to support the development of new research projects that leverage resources of the Center for Remote Patient and Participant Monitoring and the scale of the evolving integrated healthcare system, which is currently caring for more than seven million patients in Illinois, Georgia, Alabama, Wisconsin, and the Carolinas.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in biomedical informatics, computer science, computer engineering or related field, with excellent computational skills in mobile health development (preferably full stack) and Python. Experience with mobile app development needed. Previous experience in artificial intelligence, machine and deep learning is needed as well, as they apply to electronic health record data analysis. Experience in federated learning a strong plus. Experience in medical applications is a plus but not needed.
As a research fellow, the ideal candidate will also be expected to be involved in manuscript development, grant proposal writing, presentation to conferences, and reporting.
