Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking full-time New Grad RNs for our Emergency Department Academy and Nurse Residency at Davie Medical Center, located in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. A New Graduate Nurse is either a current nursing student nearing graduation from an RN program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
Position Highlights
- Unit: The Davie ED is a 23-bed community hospital emergency department offering comprehensive care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries. It provides diagnostic imaging (X-rays, CT, US, MRI) and laboratory studies. The department operates 24/7, receiving patients from local and surrounding counties via EMS. Critical care or surgical patients are stabilized and then transferred to a tertiary care center.

- ED Academy: This 24-week academy integrates didactic instruction, clinical experience, and simulations with engaging content, allowing nurses to master emergency care for both adult and pediatric patients.

Job Summary
The New Graduate Nurse provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). They lead and direct other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
What You’ll Need
- Less than 6 months of RN experience
- Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
