What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician, Outpatient, High Point position at Wake Forest?
JOB SUMMARY: Provides high quality, comprehensive therapeutic direct and indirect care for the patient, which is supportive of the care given by the Physical/Occupational Therapy Department.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. One-year experience with patients preferred. Two years college with classes in anatomy, exercise physiology or health and sports science preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: CPR Certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with patient care treatment under the supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist to meet the goals and needs of the patient.
- Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
- Communicates in a professional manner with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Performs various administrative, inventory, and organizational duties to meet the needs of the department.
- Promotes professional growth and provides community education and/or committee representation.
- Maintains safe and clean treatment areas.
