Explore an exciting opportunity with the Wake Forest Health Network Internal Medicine – Catawba team as we eagerly welcome a skilled Physician to join our dynamic team in Hickory, North Carolina. The Wake Forest Health Network is a physician-led, non-faculty multispecialty group practice affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. This is a great opportunity for physicians interested in primary care, specialization in the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and more.

  • This is a 100% outpatient care role, with full-time providers working 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours.

Requirements: 

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution. 
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
  • Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency. 
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required. 
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.
