```Job Summary:
General Summary of Duties: Highly skilled and independent sonographer who is responsible for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations. Sonographer is responsible for all daily operations in the ECHO/stress lab; including managing schedule; inputting orders and reports, maintaining upkeep of equipment; performing studies in a timely manner. Sonographer/Staff will be responsible for maintaining all IAC accreditation guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
Experience/qualification: ARDMS registered for adult echo (RDCS) required and RVT registry preferred or obtained within 6 months of employment. Minimum one-year work experience in an accredited ECHO lab. Sonographer must be able to work independently.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of ECHO and vascular protocols. Critical thinking skills are required due to the independent nature of the job. Basic knowledge of Philips EpiQ 7 machine. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and physicians. Good customer service skills.
Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting as well as some walking, bending, stooping and assisting patients as needed.
Working conditions: Work is performed in a medical office environment, involving frequent contact with physicians and staff. Maintains information in a confidential manner. Work may be stressful at times in the event of a fully scheduled day, due to the constant and interruptive interaction with others.``
