The Staff Educator is responsible for ensuring education requirements are met for newly hired staff and annually thereafter according to Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care and Residential Care operating regulations. This position is also responsible for using innovative teaching techniques to train our staff in best practices and treatment modalities related to aging and health care services, within the context of our resident-centered care philosophy.
Key Qualities:
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills including effective communication and problem-solving.
- Embrace a collaborative and team approach by working with:
- All members of the Health Services team
- All Wake Robin Departments
- Comfortable designing, developing, maintaining, and implementing annual education calendars.
- Embrace a “continually learning” mindset to research and develop cutting edge approaches for best practices.
- Able to assess skills competency for all staff.
- Participate in training non-clinical staff that includes EMR, safety, and staff development.
Education and Experience:
- Current VT license as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a trainer/educator
- Demonstrated knowledge in gerontological health preferred.
Pay: Starts at $44, increases depending on experience.
