ABI - At Home Caregivers - Permanent AND Floating Staff

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to resident rights at all times.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate parties.
• Assist with hospice care when needed, ensuring dignity and comfort during end-of-life care.

Skills

• Experience in home care or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and dementia care practices.
• Proficient in patient care techniques, including memory care strategies.
• Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining client dignity.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a home setting.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

In addition to currently hiring floating/coverage caregivers, Wake Up, LLC. has openings for permanent caregivers. All caregivers require the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of eldercare experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Own an insured car
• Clean background

• Sat. 7 pm - Sun. 7 am

Danbury

• Fri. 10 pm - Sat. 8:45 am Sat. 10 pm - Sun. 08:45 am

Derby

• Mon., Wed., Fri. 10 am - 1 pm

Wallingford

• Sun., Wed., Sat. 9:30 am - 7:30 pm

Waterbury

• Mon. - Fri. 7 am - 3 pm
• Tue. 3 pm - 11 pm
• Fri. 11 pm - Sat. 7 am
