Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to resident rights at all times.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate parties.
- Assist with hospice care when needed, ensuring dignity and comfort during end-of-life care.
Skills
- Experience in home care or senior care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and dementia care practices.
- Proficient in patient care techniques, including memory care strategies.
- Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining client dignity.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a home setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
In addition to currently hiring floating/coverage caregivers, Wake Up, LLC. has openings for permanent caregivers. All caregivers require the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 1.5 years of eldercare experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Own an insured car
- Clean background
