What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning Analyst position at Wakefern Food Corp.?
As a member of the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Department, the Analyst will work with Wakefern management for the Produce Division to make strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to meet divisional metric reporting. This associate will perform annual budgets, financial forecasting, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis related to the Newark and Elizabeth facility, sales & operational reporting. This associate will analyze P&Ls and oversee & prepare weekly operational reporting. The position is also responsible for overseeing inventory reconciliations and projections, warehouse damage and spoilage reporting, warehouse billing analysis & promotional funding.
The FP&A analyst will interpret, communicate, and measure the financial aspects of the Wakefern Divisional Strategic Plans. The FP&A Analyst will be required to be an outstanding communicator, interfacing with Wakefern leadership, various divisions, and Members. The FP&A Analyst will work directly with the Procurement and Logistics team to drive sales and reduce operating cost.
Qualifications
- Four year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with financial statements, sales & gross profit analysis, and budgeting
- Expertise in Excel, with understanding of Oracle, Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos, QMF, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships across divisions and navigate Wakefern to find answers to important questions.
Additional experience considered a plus for this posting:
- MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant field
- Experience with FP&A tools
- Knowledge of Wholesale operations, real estate, pricing, merchandising, and Wakefern’s competitors
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
