About the Role
The Category Manager, Non Food plays a crucial role in driving sales and maximizing profits for Wakefern Members. This position requires a self-motivated and driven individual who can contribute to the Non-Foods procurement team as an expert on the pricing, visual merchandising, management, and sales of categories of products.
Responsibilities:
- Drive pricing, shelving, marketing, and promotions of products
- Manage vendors and create programs
- Develop in-store merchandising plans
- Plan and manage inventory
Requirements:
- Four year College degree
- Two years of purchasing experience in retail
- Ability to analyze data and trends
- Aptitude for detail and figure oriented work
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of retail insights
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous retail experience
